A crochet pattern for a Whirligig Tote Bag. A pattern for a hexagonal shaped little tote bag.
How cool is this bag, just asking to be taken shopping, to the beach, or just about anywhere you need a little tote bag. The front and back hexagons each measure approximately 12" with a 2" gusset. A picot edging and a crochet button adds interest to the top opening and a v-stitch shoulder strap with a picot edging ties it all together.
Size: Approximately 28" in circumference (or around) and 12" in depth with a 26" shoulder strap.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: Tatamy Worsted (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Kraemer Yarns.
Note: The original design was crocheted in Orly, a yarn that is no longer available (see the white bag in the photo array).
Tools: U.S. size H crochet hook.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.
